Coding for Sustainability 2026 Hackathon is an immersive, challenge-based program designed to empower students to apply their technical knowledge and creativity to real-world problems. This weekend hackathon cultivates a spirit of collaboration, innovation, and problem-solving under pressure. Through ideation, rapid prototyping, and pitching, participants will learn to design intelligent, data-driven solutions that tackle pressing social and environmental challenges.
Guided by mentors from the fields of technology, engineering, and data science, students will not only sharpen their technical skills but also discover how technology can become a force for good. This program seeks to inspire the next generation of STEM innovators who will harness the power of AI to build a smarter, sustainable future.

By the end of this hackathon, students will possess a comprehensive set of skills designed for real-world impact. They will be able to apply computational thinking and problem-solving by designing and prototyping AI-powered, technology-based solutions to address global challenges across fields like health and environment. This process cultivates interdisciplinary teamwork and project management abilities, emphasizing communication and collaboration in a fast-paced environment.
Crucially, students will also apply data-driven reasoning and ethical AI principles to ensure their proposed solutions are both impactful and responsible. They will also enhance their presentation and pitching competencies, enabling them to articulate complex technical ideas persuasively.
