Singapore - Vietnam Student's Forum 2023

As part of the celebrations of the 50th Anniversary of bilateral relations between Singapore and Vietnam, the National Youth Councils of Singapore and the National Committee on Youth of Vietnam have signed an MOU to foster social ties between the youths of both countries through engaging in peer-to-peer dialogue. The Singapore-Vietnam Student Forum provides students the unique opportunity to interact with their international peers virtually and help them to build a platform for future international networks.

The Singapore-Vietnam Student Forum will also allow educators from both Singapore and Vietnam to interact and network with each other. Given the growing demand for international engagement among both Singaporean and Vietnamese schools, this program will provide a platform for educators to better understand the education scene in both countries and help jumpstart potential collaborations between schools.

• Through panel discussions, students will get to learn more about the opportunities and challenges faced in fostering as well as mantaining an international network. They will also get the opportunity to ask questions of the presenters to deepen their understanding as well as to clarify any misconceptions they might have.

• Through peer-to-peer sharing, this program seeks to allow students from Singapore and Vietnam to mutually learn firsthand about the histories, daily lives, and traditions  in both countries. Students will be given guidance in preparing for this exchange to ensure that the quality of exchanges is consistent among each group.

• The collaborative group project would encourage students to engage their critical-thinking capabilities in order to develop solutions which can be adopted in both Singapore and Vietnam given their different demographics.
